Once one understands the basics of probability when playing games, like Candy Land, they have a better understanding of the possible outcomes that can occur every time they draw a card from the deck. For instance, in Candy Land there are 66 cards in a deck and 6 of those cards are for a special location on the board. If you know how many cards have been drawn out already and how many special location cards are left you can calculate the probability that you will get a special location card, the next time you draw from the deck. That way when you are making bets on the outcome of the game you can know if you have a good chance of winning or not.
While this strategy helps you know the possible outcomes of Candy Land, manipulating the deck is a way to know, without a doubt, that you will win the game. When I was younger I didn't like not knowing, with full certainty, that I was going to win a game, so I cheated. I would strategically put all of the special location cards to where I would get them all and eventually win the game. So while knowing probabilities and statistics can help in games cheating is the best way to play card games, just saying.
